My take on Tessera
Tessera is the first UAE residential project by Lisbon based architects Manuel and Francisco Aires Mateus, built by Al Ghurair, one of the UAE's oldest family groups. The concept is townhouse living in a low density building, with lateral plans and vertical duplexes, private entrance foyers and large terraces.
Every home is a two or three bedroom plus a flexible extra room, so this is aimed at families and end users rather than studio investors. The 35/65 plan keeps the cash committed before completion to 35%.
It is a design led purchase in a district that is still growing, so buy it for the home and the architecture as much as the numbers.
